LM Mechanical Engineering: presentazione del nuovo PSPA di Piacenza “Mechatronics for Manufacturing”
Martedì 16 maggio alle ore 8.30 in Aula L (Campus Caserma Neve) si terrà la presentazione della Laurea Magistrale in Mechanical Engineering - Ingegneria Meccanica. Nello specifico, sarà presentato il nuovo percorso formativo previsto per il Polo Territoriale di Piacenza focalizzato su “Mechatronics for Manufacturing”.
Il percorso “Mechatronics for Manufacturing” si occupa di un’ampia gamma di sistemi meccatronici tipicamente usati nei processi manifatturieri, focalizzandosi sui più recenti risultati in termini di ricerca scientifica sia nel campo meccatronico, nel campo digitale e delle tecnologie di produzione. Lo studio dell’interazione tra il processo e la macchina, tecniche avanzate di monitoraggio e controllo, machine-learning, prognostica, l’uso di materiali intelligenti e performanti, lo sviluppo di digital-twin e Cyber Physical systems, applicazioni di realtà aumentata, tecniche di simulazione avanzata e incremento della sostenibilità sono alcuni dei temi trattati negli insegnamenti. Il percorso formativo si occupa di sistemi di produzione e processi, includendo sistemi per l’asportazione e per la deformazione plastica, robots, processi non convenzionali, tecniche additive, etc.
Gli insegnamenti riporteranno significativi esempi da un’ampia gamma di applicazioni industriali e numerose aziende saranno coinvolte attivamente nella fase di formazione. Il percorso sarà inoltre caratterizzato da esperienze laboratoriali.

Teaching activities suspension
In Piacenza Campus for the Laurea graduation day lessons and the other teaching activities of both Laurea and Laurea Magistrale programmes will be suspended in the morning. In the afternoon - from 2.30 pm - these activities could start according with the availability of the classrooms. For the Laurea Magistrale graduation day lessons and the other teaching activities of both Laurea and Laurea Magistrale programmes will be suspended all day long. Some teaching activities can be carried out online upon the request of the professor to the Teaching and registrar's office and information to the students is provided by himself.
Teaching activities suspended on SEPTEMBER 29th, 2022 for graduation day
For the Laurea graduation day on September 29th, 2022 lessons and the other teaching activities of both Laurea and Laurea Magistrale programmes will be suspended in the morning. From 2.30 pm these activities could start according with the availability of the classrooms.
Teaching activities suspended on MARCH 10th, 2022 for graduation day
For the Laurea graduation day on March 10th, 2022, lessons, exercises and assessment tests of both Laurea and Laurea Magistrale programmes are suspended in the morning; from 2.30 pm these activities can be resumed according with the availability of the classrooms.
Graduation exams - Session of September/October 2021
The graduation exams scheduled for September and October 2021 will be held in presence. The calendar is as follows:
- Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) in Mechanical Engineering: 23 September
- Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) in Mechanical Engineering - Ingegneria Meccanica: 6 October
- Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) in Energy Engineering - Ingegneria Energetica: 6 October
In the Bachelor's degree graduation day, lessons, exercises and assessment tests are suspended in the morning; from 2.30 pm these activities can be resumed according with the availability of the classrooms.
In the Master's Degree graduation day, lessons, exercises and assessment tests are suspended all day.
September exam sessions timetable

Teaching activities suspended for graduation day (March 10th and July 20th)
For the graduation day on March 10th and July 20th, lessons, exercises and evaluation tests are suspended in the morning. In the afternoon from 2.30 pm these activities can be resumed according with the availability of the classrooms.

Laurea (equivalent to B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering - First year "Methods of technical representation" course
Please note that theory lessons will begin remotely on Wednesday 16 September from 4.30pm to 7.15pm and will continue (always remotely) on Friday 18 September (8.30am - 11.00am and 1.30pm - 5.00pm).
During the first lesson on Wednesday 16 September, the professor will communicate the ways of carrying out the graphic laboratory and CAD laboratory. The former will be held in Manfredi Pavilion (Campus Arata, via Scalabrini 113) while the latter will be held remotely.
The first CAD laboratory will take place remotely on Wednesday 23 September at 4.30pm.
The first graphic laboratory will take place in presence on Friday 25 September at 1.30pm at Manfredi Pavilion. Students must have a pencil, an eraser and white sheets in A2 format. Due to the distancing measures, students will be divided into 2 groups, which will be communicated during the first lesson on Wednesday 16 September.
Students are invited to pay attention to communications that will be sent by institutional e-mail to regular students enrolled in the course.
As for face-to-face lessons, it is mandatory to access the classrooms with a mask, which must be worn for the entire time in the classroom, and to respect the rules published on www.polimi.it/en/landingpages/covid-19
