Starting in September 2026 in Piacenza Campus the new Bachelor of science (equivalent to Laurea, hereinafter “L”) in Industrial Engineering fully taught in English will be held. This degree is designed with a strong multidisciplinary approach combining solid scientific foundations with hands-on learning, cross-sectoral thinking, and a deep connection to the real world of industry and innovation.
Designed for future-ready engineers who want to understand and shape the future of industry. With a strong industry involvement, this programme blends theory with practice from day one—focusing on manufacturing, automation, logistics, sustainability, and digital innovation.
The “L” in Industrial Engineering is an international degree designed for students who want to understand and shape the future of industry.
This programme has been created in response to the needs of one of Italy's most industrialised regions, which is experiencing strong growth in the logistics, mechanical engineering and manufacturing sectors. The aim is to train engineers who are well-prepared, versatile and ready to enter the job market.
You will acquire solid skills in mechanics, logistics, production process management, data analysis, and energy and electrical management of plants, developing the ability to collaborate with all company departments and face the challenges of an increasingly fast-paced and complex market.
The “L” in Industrial Engineering is structured around three terms per year, designed to promote focus, continuity, and flexibility in learning. Daily classroom time is limited to 4–5 hours, giving students space for individual study, peer interaction, and ongoing development of their work. Learning is supported by continuous assessment, which may include in-class activities, collaborative assignments, and mid-term evaluations, in addition to traditional exams.
For students who enrol in this laurea programme, Piacenza Campus offers several scholarships provided by local companies, associations and private individuals.
In addition, for international students who intend to apply to the first year of this laurea programme, Politecnico di Milano, through the Polipiacenza association, offers 10 scholarships worth € 5,000 each every year, which may be renewable for the following two years of the programme.
Further details will be available on this page shortly. In the meantime, you can consult the new “L” programme on the University website and fill out the form to be involved in future informative sessions.
