Industrial Engineering

Held in English

Starting in September 2026 in Piacenza Campus the new Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of science, hereinafter “L”) in Industrial Engineering fully taught in English will be held. This degree is designed with a strong multidisciplinary approach combining solid scientific foundations with hands-on learning, cross-sectoral thinking, and a deep connection to the real world of industry and innovation.

Designed for future-ready engineers who want to understand and shape the future of industry. With a trimester structure and strong industry involvement, this programme blends theory with practice from day one—focusing on manufacturing, automation, logistics, sustainability, and digital innovation.

The “L” in Industrial Engineering is an international degree designed for students who want to understand and shape the future of industry.

This programme has been created in response to the needs of one of Italy's most industrialised regions, which is experiencing strong growth in the logistics, mechanical engineering and manufacturing sectors. The aim is to train engineers who are well-prepared, versatile and ready to enter the job market.

You will acquire solid skills in mechanics, logistics, production process management, data analysis, and energy and electrical management of plants, developing the ability to collaborate with all company departments and face the challenges of an increasingly fast-paced and complex market.

The “L” in Industrial Engineering is organised in a three-year structure, with three terms per year, designed to promote focus, continuity, and flexibility in learning. Daily classroom time is limited to 4–5 hours, giving students space for individual study, peer interaction, and ongoing development of their work. Learning is supported by continuous assessment, which may include in-class activities, collaborative assignments, and mid-term evaluations, in addition to traditional exams.

Further details will be available on this page shortly. In the meantime, you can consult the new “L” programme on the University website and fill out the form to be involved in future informative sessions.
